From Stage to Screen: The World of
Francheasca Hollins-Roberson
Francheasca Hollins-Roberson originates from Massachusetts and currently resides in Washington State. At birth, she was not expected to live past three days. But God said, “NOT SO!” Francheasca's life is a testimony and she uses her "gift" to share God's love to help build His kingdom.
Francheasca is the daughter of Bishop Milton Hollins & Missionary Helen Hollins. Both were professional musicians, singer-songwriters, and business owners. Her parents emphasized the importance of Godly principles, creativity, and leadership.
Her father and Mother were the “original” founding members of the Biblical Gospel Singers. While touring with the Biblical Gospel Singer, they penned, and performed the mega gospel staple “I Come To Praise Him aka I Don't Know What You Come to Do I Come to Praise His Name ". After moving back east to Boston her father who was also a professionally trained baker and cake designer opened a mini-chain of bakeries while also forming the Helen Hollins Singers who also now are part of the Gospel Music Encyclopedia which celebrates them as one of the most legendary gospel groups of our time.
Surrounded by music, ministry, and entrepreneurial parents, Francheasca identified her calling at an early age. She began developing her gifts while singing with her siblings around the house and at church. Francheasca also developed her business acumen after school at her parent's bakery.
By age twelve, Francheasca seized the opportunity to sing professionally with her parent’s group The Helen Hollins Singers when two of the group members opted out of a concert at the last minute. Francheasca walked into the living room and proclaimed to her parents “Let me sing—I can blow the roof off this place!” Little did they know, Francheasca and her eldest brother Milton had been listening intently during the multiple rehearsals that had taken place in their home. So, in less than 24 hours, Francheasca made her professional debut singing in front of an audience capacity of thousands.
Over time, Francheasca has been an organic student in cross-genres. Her vocals are diversified and range from alto to soprano. As with her abilities and aspirations which range from acting, drama, executive administration, and aspiration for fashion merchandising.
Francheasca is a humanitarian as she volunteers her support and knowledge to youth, women, and underserved families. Francheasca remains humble realizing that she is “gifted 2 sing” and that her voice, creative expression, and vocation come from God.
